About the Film

BRUTING is a feature-length documentary from Skell Group, following its subjects through moments that resist easy explanation. Shot over an extended period and built from patient observation rather than narration, the film asks what remains once the performance stops.

Synopsis

BRUTING follows its subjects across a single unresolved season, tracing the quiet negotiations between control and instinct. Rather than explain its world, the film sits inside it — observing, waiting, and occasionally flinching — until a shape emerges from what looked, at first, like noise. It is a film about the cost of restraint, and what happens when restraint finally breaks.
